CutePDF

Free PDF Creator.

Thanks in no small part to Adobe; PDF is the de facto standard for electronic documents and forms exchange.

There are many advantages to sending documents in PDF format, for example if you need a document that can easily be viewed by anyone without having to pay for software to do so, or you need to send a document which cannot then be easily modified.

All of my invoices and quotes get emailed out in PDF format, but, rather than pay for the full version of Adobe Acrobat, I use a nifty little freeware utility called CutePDF.

CutePDF works at the print file stage, rather than the save document stage, so virtually any file which can be printed can be easily and quickly converted into a PDF file for free.

First of all, you will need to download both the installer (Version 2.7 at the time of writing) and the converter from the CutePDF website.

Now, install both files as normal, then open up the document you want to print. For this example I am using a Microsoft Word document, but, as I said earlier, virtually anything with a Print option can be converted.

When you have the file you want to convert, go into the print menu.
